explaining their awareness of the rules and liabilities. This contract

facilitate in the supervision of the student’s computer usage at home. If
you return to school without your computer, an immediate phone call to the
parent/guardian will be made in order to make arrangements for it to be
brought to school immediately. Failure to bring your computer back on time
may result in the school revoking your privilege to take your iBook home.
Replacement costs and/or repairs for damages that might occur to the iBook
while not in school are the sole responsibility of the parent/guardian per
take home contract.
If the iBook is stolen while out of school, it should be reported to the
local police authorities and LFMS teacher leader or principal immediately.
The iBook computer is the property of the State of Maine and registered to
Livermore Falls Middle School. It must be returned to Livermore Falls
Middle School upon request. Students transferring to another school or
exiting the school are expected to turn in the iBook immediately.
If you as the parent/guardian would rather that the computer NOT be
brought home, the school will work to accommodate the student’s need for
iBook access during the school day or after school on an as needed basis.
Failure to comply with the school’s procedure for iBook sign outs, rules
